Seaside Pub and Café in Mudeford Quay

Welcome to the Haven House Inn on Mudeford Quay. With the most amazing views across Avon Beach to the Isle of Wight, Hengistbury Head and Christchurch Harbour we think we’ve got the most perfect pub and café in the world!

Haven House Inn

A cosy smugglers tavern serving fine ale, craft beers, wines – perfect to accompany the delicious dishes from the menu or the daily changing specials. Grab a table in the bar or one of the many seats outside and enjoy the views and watch the world sailing slowly by.

Haven Café

With panoramic windows framing the views of The Needles on the Isle of Wight it’s a wonderful place to prepare for a day crabbing with the kids or to unwind from a walk on the beach. Open from 9.30am for freshly ground coffee, Birchall teas, Jimmy’s Iced Coffee and of course delicious large or small breakfasts, we go through lunch until 5pm.

Sundowners Terrace

After a long day on the beach or walking around the headland, watching the sun go down over Christchurch Harbour with a pint of Ringwood 49er or a locally distilled Conker Gin and tonic is one of Mudeford’s greatest pleasures.

There has been an alehouse here in Mudeford from as early as 1699, but it gained real notoriety in 1784 when the Battle of Mudeford was fought between local smugglers and Customs Officers – and here we are still serving fine ales, delicious coffee and fine food to locals, visitors, sailors and the occasional pirate!
